hes not a bad dog, he just needs training...any advice?
so i just got this dog as an early Christmas present from my parents. supposedly he is 10 weeks old. by the looks of him hes 10 months. he is a hungarian vizsla and is very sweet. we have another dog in our family that is an irish wheaten terrier. the hv is 10 lbs heavier and 2x the size of of our wheaten. wen the two are inside all the new dog wants to do is fight (he does not have a name yet) and Maddie (the wheaten) does not like to playfight. she is about 2 1/2 yrs. 10 weeks and 10 months are still a puppy, so the boy is going to want to play either way. ive heard that if you just let dogs fight after 3-4 days they will both be bored of it and stop. should i let them keep fighting, take him to obidience lessons, or, it pains me so much to think about this option, give him back to where i got him from :( im willing to do any and all training so please suggest anything. hes not a bad dog, he just wants to play all day. he is only a puppy and he learns quickly. please suggest anything you know i really need help! thank you!
called the previous owner, he made a mistake and IS 10 months old. i just let them loose in the house and im a little worried, but i trust all of you you sound like you know what your talking about, i just hope your right...
also how do i get him to not bark when he is alone?
thank you guys so much! they stopped fighting and they get along with eachother now. he still wants to play, but maddie will bark and he backs down and brings me his ball to play fetch w/ hm instead. now i just need help with one more thing, he barks wenever i put him outside. if im not outside with him he'll bark and cry all high pitched and annoying til we let him back in. we have things to do later and we need to leave the two outside. when they are outside he crys and barks and scratches the door and maddie just looks at him like hes crazy, its quite funny but he needs to learn to be quiet if i get to keep him. i have until frida to fix all of his problems and i get to keep him!

hes chewing on everything! any way to get him to stop chewing on everything i know its a puppy thing but he broke my pen :( hay it could be worse right? anything to hepl him stop chewing and barking would be nicee
the problem has started again, and hes always hyper and he is trying to take the treats from maddie when he finishes his, then they fight for it and i have to put Attila out and maddie in. then Attila crys and its annoying and we dont want the neighbors to complain. please help!

MY DOG MIGHT HAVE SEPARATION ANXIETY! PLEASE HELP!! HE WHINES WEN HES OUTSIDE, HOW CAN I GET HIM TO STOP!?!?
my dog that i just got a few days ago (Attila, 10 months old, male, hungarian vizsla) used to fight nonstop with my other dog (Maddie, 2 1/2 yrs old, female, irish wheaten terrier). I think Attila has separation anxiety, whenever we put him outside, after about 20 seconds he starts to whine and scratch the door wanting to come inside, even when we are home. We can leave him in the house alone and he will be okay, but when he outside he whines and scratches the backdoors and looks through the window. Many of our friends and neighbors say "he will grow out of it, just ignore him" but i dont belive ignoring this is the best way to solve this. Only having had him for 3 days now, we are not sure how long he can be trusted inside, he chews on everything but hes only a puppy and he learns and is learning quickly what and wat not to chew on. if i cannot get him to stop barking by saturday, we have to out him in the pound, and i really DO NOT want him there, ive heard it is a horrible place. if training is going well, but he onky barks a little bit, i can keep him, as long as there is improvement. he is my Christmas present from my parents :) (thx u parents!) but they just cant deal with the whining. please help me i love this dog so much i was VERY upset when i heard what would happen if he doesnt stop barking. He used to be worse, always fighting with Maddie, but he soon learned this is not just his house. I really have a lot of faith in him and I know he can be trained, and there are other people in the same situation. Please please please help me! i dont want to get any shock collars or citronella spray collar or debarking surgery, is there any other way(s)? please help me i really need it! thank you!

And i agree with u about why he should have to go to the pound! shouldn't he be given at least a month or two? hes just a puppy i expect nothing of him but to be nice to my other dog and my family and friends. hes honestly a great dog and he deserves to stay. My parents didnt do this when we got our other dog! But she stopped barking after two days, but she was older than 10 months, a bit ovr a year actually. Attila spends most of his time inside, and only goes out when he looks restless and like he needs to "go" and i take good care of him in my opinion. Ive walked him 3-4 times a day since i got him. My goal is to walk him twice a day once winter break is over if i still have him :( i hope i do! i rly working hard with him!
its really hard to ignore him it makes me feel so bad :( is there any words i can say to make him stop just so he can come inside? i fed him dinner and hes been crying ever since he was done. i want to let him back inside, but i dont ant to give in to his crys :(

Would this be a good idea, or a bad one? (its long. And help from previous Pit Bull owners aprreciated)?
SO, I've been researching dogs for a while now. Mainly the large breeds and breeds I think I might like to have in the future. I have also been looking for a rescue puppy who needs a home. Now, in the household I live in, there are two parents, and to children, ages 12(girl) and 9(boy)(turning 10 in May). Age 12, we'll call her...Cat. (she reminds everyone of a cat!) Shes great with all animals and shes never shown the slightest bit of fear to a dog. We own a dog currently, and she'll get down on the floor and wrestle with her. Now our current dog, is an Irish Wheaten Terrier, so shes not too big. (shes about four or five) Now, back in December, She got a puppy for Christmas. It was a Vizsla. We were told he was 10 weeks, but when we went to pick him up, the people said they made a mistake and he was actually 10 months. Being 10 months, he was already quite large and had some bad habits that were tough to break (separation anxiety) before school started again for Cat and, we'll call him Mouse. Mouse was deathly afraid of our new dog, and wanted nothing to do with him. Hes more of a cat person, and it took a while to warm up to the dog we have now. However he loves animals as well, but has a fear of them. He loves to help them and would take a rescue dog even if he didn't like it, as long as he knows hes helping it. We ended having to give away this dog, but are looking for a puppy as stated earlier. (we still have the Wheaten, but not the Vizsla)
Heres the question.
I found a rescue puppy, or should I say puppies, on the internet. Everyone all know that these types of dogs are dangerous, but if trained correctly, can be a great family pet that gets along with everyone. I guess I should get to the point now though. The mom is an American Pit Bull Terrier. The puppies are a mix, but the border doesn't know who or what the dad is. So I'm saying would it be a good idea to adopt one of these puppies from unknown lineage? I know especially with this breed, even the mixes, should have an extra careful search. On the add it says the border is full and finds dogs weekly. It also says the mom will nedd a home after the puppies are weaned, and puppies need homes fast.
I'm a little worried because we have a number of other pets: two cats, one who is only inside at night, we let her run around the front yard, she comes back at around the same time everyday, and the other lays around upstairs all day. No other pet is allowed up there. We also have birds, one is a miracle bird, its 21 years old and dies and relives everyday its crazy. We have fish, but not sure if thats a big difference. Not knowing what kind of history these puppies come from worries me a little bit. Would it be a smart idea to adopt one and give it a good home? Will it get along with our other pets?
Also if you think we should would it be a dog that
-Doesn't need to be taken on long walks every day
-Gets along with other pets
-Doesn't need a lot of grooming
-Can be trusted alone outside with our other dog for a few hours a day
I know Pit Bulls haven't the best reputation but I wouldn't mind giving one a chance. Also, if you think that its not a good idea to adopt one of these after they're old enough, theres four shepherd boxer mixes that I would like to adopt as well. Wichever one would be best can you please tell your opinion and reason(s). I think the Pit Bulls need a home more, but I want to do whats best for everyone.
